As always, deep in thought

As always, deep in thought

I guess you could label me any number of things. I’m a college kid, a native of Milwaukee, a resident of Washington DC and an international affairs student, among other things. I’m ambitious, motivated and I’m not shy, or else you wouldn’t be reading this. I thought my experiences would be interesting and pretty funny at times, so I decided to commit them to a blog for all to see.

Growing up in Milwaukee is something that I have always been grateful for. It gave me the chance to be surrounded by things that I love. For example, music and the arts have always been of huge interest to me. Milwaukee is host to among the best, if not the absolute best local and live music scenes in the country. An avid baseball fan, I’ve always loved growing up in a town that loves to rally behind its hometown ballclub, the Milwaukee Brewers. Every summer I catch Brewer fever and love to treat it with my family’s 18th-row-behind-home plate season tickets. And of course, I’m a total geek about politics, international affairs and policymaking. I’ve gotten the chance to be a part of a great number of political campaigns thanks to the great connections I’ve been able to make in Milwaukee. The whole state of Wisconsin is one of the most politically competitive and diverse areas of the country and Milwaukee has a particularly interesting political history, having been the only major American city to elect three socialist mayors (kudos to Alice Cooper for bringing this to my attention in Wayne’s World and to Wikipedia for confirming it for me). Needless to say, this town has done a lot to foster my different interests.

And yet somehow I always felt a little bit confined, like there was always another place that could do even more to fit my personality. I’ve always loved the DC area and all that it has to offer. Obviously, it didn’t take much convincing for me to select it as the city where I will live, work and study for the next four years. I’m not sure what lies ahead for me, but I’ve got a feeling that it’s going to be great.

    Subject: Link Exchange

    Hello,

My name is Huckapedia, I’m the moderator of the Huckabee Fan Club (HuckabeeFanClub.com). I’m a big fan of Governor Mike Huckabee. I found your website on Huckabee’s HuckPAC site.

I’m wondering if you would like to exchange links by posting each others website address on both websites? It will help increase the strong network between all Huckabee Fans worldwide.

If you are interested, our website address is: http://www.huckabeefanclub.com

Thanks and have a super great day!

You tell me, stud. That’s your loss, not mine. Looks like you have some reading to catch up on, eh?
